When was the last time you used supplements of resveratrol from grapes? There is a whole industry selling home red grape seed and skin extract. Want to put aside their sometimes ridiculous prices for what are essentially the product of wine production and concentrate on why people buy them.

Research original was made in 1936 by Dr. Jacques Masquelier of the Pasteur Institute and has been followed by studies too numerous to cite here. What scientists have discovered in recent years is that many bioflavonoids in red grapes have powerful antioxidant properties. Antioxidants fight free radicals that are generated with every breath you take. They are oxidants that damage cells uncontrolled. Over time, this makes both your health and your body to deteriorate. This is the natural process aging, but can be resisted.

There are two antioxidant properties of interest here.

1] grape extract contains proanthocyanidins [forgive my language]. This particular group of bioflavonoids improves the ability of vitamin C to enter and strengthen cells and cell membranes is important for many reasons, but let's discuss a couple of them:

a] Vitamin C is water soluble, which means it does not stay with you long time. In general, is by far the most powerful antioxidant, but must be absorbed. In other words, use it or lose it.

b] There are over 300 significant effects of vitamin C in our body. Many people who take supplements of vitamin C [several hundred million worldwide] still suffer from deficiencies due to a chain of negative events. Its vitamin C is not well absorbed which leads to lack of power in the nutrients needed for absorption of vitamin C, which in turn causes nutrient deficiencies still others and so on.

2] The grape resveratrol supplements is one of the bioflavonoids that I mentioned previously, but with a twist. Several studies have shown that boosts the fight against aging family of genes called sirtuins. What happens is that not only do you fight against cancer, heart disease and type 2 diabetes, but help to prevent it from starting in the first place.

In short, you can get any of the above nutrients from different sources, including pine bark and peanut. However, for us to get all the benefits, it is very important that we have and, especially, the supplements of resveratrol from grapes. You may ask why?

There are just 3 reasons:

1] is a natural source. Look for the word trans [natural] and avoid the CIS [synthetic].

2] It is powerful in small doses, it avoids some side effects like joint pain and stomach problems.

3] It can be taken as part of a multi-supplement of nutrients that allows absorption of all the antioxidants we need.

grape seed and adhd

What are natural / homeopathic ways to conquer ADD / ADHD in children without medicating with hyphens?

I've heard of extract Grape seed is ideal for reducing inflammation in the brain. Are there other things like this? and / or certain foods to include or avoid in your diet?

It still amazes me that people say that there is no such thing as ADD / ADHD. I suppose these people still think the world is flat too. But I digress. I know a product that is full of antioxidants, phytonutrients, flavonoids and 4 natural polysaccharides. What it does is changing rapidly from the blood from acidic to alkaline by the elimination of free radicals, bacteria, inflammation, acid and mushrooms. None of these things can grow in an alkaline medium. People have been having a lot success with this in both adults and children, and the product comes with medical validation, that is the only thing it does. Grapeseed oil is also excellent, and also reduces bad cholesterol in the system. I would say that incorporate as many fruits and vegetables as possible, especially green leafy vegetables, and avoidance of sugar, sales and pre-packaged foods. If you like I can run a website with testimonials of what others have found to improve this condition.
